Open House at the Shea Naval Aviation Museum

ANA Patriot Squadron members meet at 11:00 AM on the last Saturday of every month in the Shea Naval Aviation Museum, which is a small white building located directly behind the soccer fields at the Sports Complex on Union Point (formerly SouthField) on old NAS South Weymouth in Weymouth, MA.   After the meeting, participating members typically gather to have lunch together at a local restaurant.

Members operate and maintain the Shea Naval Aviation museum, which is open from 9 AM to noon on the second Saturday of the month and from 9 AM to 11 AM on the last Saturday of the month.

Other regular membership activities include luncheons, BBQs, outings to local military air shows, lectures and presentations on naval and aviation subject matter, and routine maintenance activities (grass mowing, leaf-raking, painting, etc.) for the Shea Memorial Grove. The group also holds an annual holiday party in December. Membership provides opportunities to meet and socialize with veterans of WW2, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, Desert Storm, and the War on Terror as well as with local military historians and authors.
